Terms of Service.
Plain-English. Global edition.
These Terms govern your access to and use of the global edition of LexVio.ai. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by them.
Last updated: 31 August 2026 · Supersedes the 1 June 2026 edition for the global product
1. The agreement
These Terms are a legal agreement between you (“you”, the “Customer”) and Global Synapse Technologies, a private limited company incorporated in Delhi, India (“LexVio”, “we”, “us”). They apply to your use of the global edition of LexVio.ai, our mobile and web applications, browser extensions, APIs, and any related services (the “Service”).
If you use the Service as a consumer — an individual acting outside your trade, business or profession — the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live applies to you in addition to these Terms, and nothing in these Terms reduces the rights it gives you. §13 explains how.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- Notify us immediately at support@globalsynapsetech.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or are inactive for an extended period.
4. Subscription plans, billing, and renewals
- Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Fees for the global edition are quoted and charged in US dollars, processed by Stripe. If your payment method settles in another currency, your bank or card issuer converts the USD charge at its own rate — we do not set or add to that rate.
- Fees are exclusive of taxes. Where we are required to collect VAT, GST, sales tax or an equivalent, it is added at checkout and shown on your invoice. Where we are not required to collect it, you are responsible for any tax due on your side (for example, reverse-charge VAT for EU business customers) — provide a valid VAT / tax registration number in your billing details so your invoices state it.
- You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds and the statutory withdrawal rights of consumers are governed by our Refund Policy.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing prepaid periods are honoured at the original price.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or which infringes another party's IP, privacy, or confidentiality.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, decompile, or circumvent the Service's security or rate limits.
- Use the Service to train a competing AI model or to build a competing product.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service except under a written enterprise agreement.
- Misrepresent AI output as legal advice or as the work product of a qualified lawyer.
6. Export controls and sanctions
You may not use the Service if you are located in, organised under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are listed on, or owned or controlled by a party listed on, a sanctions or denied-party list maintained by the United Nations, the United States (including OFAC), the European Union, the United Kingdom, or India. You represent that this is not the case, and agree to tell us if it changes. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe continued provision would breach sanctions or export-control law.
7. AI output — what LexVio is and isn't
LexVio uses artificial intelligence to analyse contracts, generate suggestions, and surface relevant legal material. You are interacting with an AI system, and its output is machine-generated. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out-of-date. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it.
LexVio is not a law firm, does not practise law, and is not a substitute for a qualified lawyer.Using the Service does not create a lawyer-client relationship. For high-stakes matters — M&A, regulatory investigations, litigation — obtain advice from a lawyer admitted to practise in the relevant jurisdiction.
8. Intellectual property
- Your content stays yours. You retain all rights to documents, queries, and material you upload or generate.
- You grant LexVio a limited licence to host, process, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you.
- The Service itself — software, models, designs, documentation — is owned by LexVio and protected by IP law. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it during your subscription.
- AI output generated for you is delivered to you free of any LexVio claim of ownership, subject to the underlying model providers' terms.
9. Confidentiality
We treat the content you upload as Confidential Information. We do not access, read, or share it except (a) as required to operate the Service, (b) with your authorised users, (c) for security/abuse investigations, or (d) under compelled legal disclosure. See our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
10. Service availability
We target 99.9% monthly uptime, excluding planned maintenance, force majeure, and integrations beyond our control. Status: /status. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. For enterprise customers, written SLAs may be negotiated separately.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LexVio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and non-infringement. Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or guarantee that applicable law does not allow to be excluded — including the statutory rights of consumers.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LexVio's aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages — including loss of profits, data, or reputation — even if advised of their possibility.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section reduces your statutory rights.
13. Consumers
- Your local law is preserved. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, whatever §15 says about governing law.
- 14-day right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason, as set out in our Refund Policy — which also explains how asking us to start the service immediately affects that right.
- Your local courts. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and proceedings against you may only be brought there.
- The indemnity in §14 does not apply to consumers.
14. Indemnity (business customers only)
If you use the Service in the course of a trade, business or profession, you agree to indemnify and hold LexVio harmless from any third-party claim arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your content infringing IP or privacy rights, or (c) your unlawful use of the Service. This section does not apply to consumers.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
For business customers, these Terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes shall be referred to arbitration before a sole arbitrator seated in Delhi, in English, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; the courts at Delhi have supervisory jurisdiction. For consumers, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of, or the right to sue and be sued in, the country where you live (§13).
16. Termination
- You may cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for breach, non-payment, or applicable law, with prior notice where reasonable.
- On termination, your content is deleted per the retention schedule in our Privacy Policy. You may export data before termination using in-app tools.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email and posted here at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you are a consumer and do not accept a material change, you may cancel before it takes effect and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period.
18. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Data Processing Agreement, and any plan-specific addenda constitute the entire agreement between you and LexVio.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- No waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Notices. Send legal notices to info@globalsynapsetech.com.
