What it is.
Nexus Ask is Nexus Search plus synthesis. Ask "what's our standard liability cap across vendor contracts signed in 2026?" and get a structured answer that aggregates across documents, with citations to each source.
It's the right tool when you want a number, a pattern, or a synthesised summary across many documents — not when you want to find a single document (use Search for that).
Three steps.
End to end.
Something that requires reading many documents — "what's our typical termination notice for MSAs?"
The engine pulls relevant clauses across the vault, deduplicates, and ranks by relevance.
A structured response with the aggregated finding, counter-examples, and a cited list of the documents it drew from.
What you get.
- ✓Aggregate questions — "what % of our MSAs cap liability at <12 months?"
- ✓Counterparty rollups — group results by who you signed with
- ✓Citation list — every answer links to source documents
- ✓Organisation-scoped — retrieval never crosses tenants
- ✓Knows the product it lives in — "what's on my plate today", "did the client meeting get minutes", "what state is the ABC agreement in" are answered from your own rows, with a link to the screen
- ✓Read-only tools over the work modules — your tasks, your meetings and their minutes, a contract's lifecycle, your blog posts — and never a write
Quick answers.
Vio reads one document. Nexus Ask reads your whole vault. Pick Vio for clause-level questions on the doc in front of you; Nexus for patterns across many.
No. Its tools over tasks, meetings, the contract lifecycle and the blog are lookups — they read the rows you own and cite them as links. Nothing Nexus does writes to any of those modules.
Nexus refuses rather than improvising. The answer carries a grounded flag, and where nothing relevant is in your corpus it returns an explicit refusal instead of a synthesised guess.
Not from Nexus. Vio copilot threads export to PDF or DOCX as a structured report; a Nexus answer is returned to the app only.
