Research links & the matter graph
LiveLink the authorities you rely on to the matter's issues and claims, with a stance — and see the whole matter as a graph built from its own records.
- ✓Typed authorities linked to issues, claims, defences, clauses, drafts and workflow steps
- ✓Stances: supports, contrary, context
- ✓Every link starts unverified — nothing is presented as checked that was not
- ✓Source links accepted as http(s) only
What it is.
A research link ties an authority you enter — a case, a statute section or another citation, typed with its reference and, if you like, a link to its source — to an issue, claim, defence, clause, draft or workflow step, with a stance: supports, contrary or context. Every link starts unverified, and nothing about it is invented for you. This product holds no case-law or statute corpus, so authority search and current-law notes are not offered; the authorities are the ones you and your team bring.
The matter graph is computed from the matter's rows — client, parties, documents, facts, issues, claims, orders, directions, obligations, tasks and the authorities you linked — and a model never writes an edge. Every edge names the row it came from, and you can ask for the path between any two nodes.
Three steps.
End to end.
Type the authority and attach it to an issue or claim with a stance.
Linked authorities appear in the drafting context, and linking one to an issue finishes that issue's research step on the Matter Journey.
Open the matter graph, or ask for the path between two nodes.
What you get.
- ✓Typed authorities linked to issues, claims, defences, clauses, drafts and workflow steps
- ✓Stances: supports, contrary, context
- ✓Every link starts unverified — nothing is presented as checked that was not
- ✓Source links accepted as http(s) only
- ✓Matter graph built from rows, never from model output, each edge naming its source row
- ✓Path between two nodes, scoped to your organisation
Quick answers.
Not on this product. There is no case-law or statute corpus here to search, and we would rather say so than return a near-match dressed as research. Typed authorities work on every plan.
Only what is linked to the matter. Research a colleague keeps privately shows as private, with no link to it.
